The Greene County girls 4 X 100 meter shuttle hurdle relay finished 13th in the preliminaries at the Drake Relays Saturday morning in Des Moines.
The team, composed of juniors Eme Johnson and Sarah Sandage, freshman Nadia Fisher and senior Kate Sandage, ran a time of 76.12 seconds. The fastest time in the preliminaries was Urbandale’s 62.86 seconds. Urbandale went on to win in the finals with a time of 62.41.
Other qualifying times in the preliminaries were Mount Pleasant, 63.84, Waukee, 64.74, and Clear Creek-Amana, 65.65.
In the finals, Waukee finished second with 64.81 and Clear Creek-Amana moved up to third with a time of 66.04. Mount Pleasant was disqualified as a runner left early.
